A Heartfelt Holiday from The Mateyoke Group

As Christmas approaches, we want to take a moment to pause and say thank you. This season always reminds us how fortunate we are to work with such wonderful clients, friends, and community members across Central Kentucky. Your trust and support mean the world to us, and we’re truly grateful for every home we’ve helped buy, sell, and celebrate in 2025.

The holidays are all about connection. Gathering with loved ones, sharing good food, and creating memories that last far beyond December. Whether you’re hosting a big family dinner or enjoying a quiet night at home, we hope your home is filled with warmth this season.

A Simple Holiday Treat: Peppermint Bark

If you’re short on time but still want something festive to make or share, this quick recipe is a holiday favorite! No baking required and ready in minutes.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz white chocolate chips

  • 12 oz semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips

  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract (optional, but encouraged!)

  • 4–5 candy canes, crushed

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Melt the dark or milk chocolate in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Spread it evenly onto the parchment. Chill for 10–15 minutes.

  3. Melt the white chocolate the same way, then stir in peppermint extract if desired. Spread it over the cooled chocolate layer.

  4. Sprinkle crushed candy canes on top and gently press them in.

  5. Chill again until firm, then break into pieces.

It’s simple, festive, and always a crowd favorite. Perfect for gifting or snacking while wrapping presents.

From all of us at The Mateyoke Group, we wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season filled with peace, joy, and celebration. Thank you for being part of our year, and we look forward to helping you achieve your real estate goals in 2026.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
